On Friday, July 15th, I woke up from deep sleep just like every ordinary day, but this particular day was going be much more fun, because I am going to Cameron Highland with my KEMUSA group! The first placed that we visited was Boh Tea Plantation. Boh is the largest tea plantation in Cameron Highland, with two sister estates and the largest tea plantation in Southeast Asia. The main estate in Habu is a popular tourist attraction with a functioning factory that's open to public. Do give a honk or twice while negotiating a corner to let oncoming traffic know there is a car coming. Gets kind of fun to honk the horn after a while! At the factory, we have been told about the history of the Boh Tea Plantation. Boh Tea Plantation has total of 8000 acres planted with tea. The Boh Tea Plantation was founded in 1929 by J.A. Russel, a British businessman during the British colonial era in Malaysia. He was optimistic of the tea plantation business due to huge demands despite of the world-wide Great Depression at that time.
After that, we spent our time at the strawberry farm. Strawberry farms are immensely popular attraction at the Cameron Highland, as a visitor are fascinated with the idea of dainty fruits of temperate origin growing on local soil. strawberries are an important agricultural product of Cameron Highland. For many local visitors, the charming strawberry fruit holds a special imagination, representing,an integral part of the continental holidays experience that Cameron Highlands offers.
Thank you for reading. Until we meet again.
